What Is Your Skin Type and What To Do For It?

It is vital to apply a right skin care to prevent increase and reoccur of skin problems. Using wrong products and doing mistakes about skin care may cause big problems. One of the first things to be done for applying right skin care is to determine your skin type. After determining your skin type, you will be able to choose suitable care methods and care products.  You can determine your skin type by examining your face or if you want to obtain more precise information, you can consult to your dermatologist.

Oily Skin

In oily skins, pores on face are wide and skin is thick. This skin type is more prone to encounter acne and blackhead problems. Because oil and dirt accumulates within wide pores and cause bacteria to form acne on face. Even oily skin type frequently encounters acne problems; wrinkle formation begins later than usual but skin may get saggy. If you also think that you have an oily skin, you should be attentive to frequently wash your face and keep clean. By this way, you can minimize accumulation of dirt and bacteria on your face. Pay attention that products for your skin care are in gel form, oil-free and water-based. Using oily products may cause increase in acne and blackhead problems. You can pay attention not to use too much products for your skin care. You may be attentive to use less but more effective products and you can apply peel in a few days a week.

Combination Skin

Typically, the combination skin type is characterized by dry, flaking skin on the cheeks, while excessive oil and shine appears on other areas of the face. Especially T-zone and chin are oilier than other areas of face. Combination skin is one of most difficult skin types to take care of and may be affected easily from season changes. This situation may require using different products according to season changes. You can prefer water-based gel products in hot season and more intense care products in cold season.

Normal Skin

In normal skin, moisture and oil are well-balanced. Therefore it is the most ideal skin type. Normal skin type has smoother structure than other skin types. If you have a normal skin, you do not need to use too much skin care products. Cleansing gel and a good moisturizer for balancing skin moisture and oil will be enough.

Dry Skin

Dry skin looks pale and dull. Your skin feels tight after washing and lines become evident. Skin easily affects from external factors due to low skin moisture and redness may occur on face. During cold season dry skin may encounter more problems. If you have a dry skin, you can use more intensive products. For your skin care, you can avoid products containing high pH and you can prefer moisturizers with glycerin containing hyaluronic acid.

Sensitive Skin

Sensitive skin is another skin type, which is most difficult to take care of. Sensitive skin quickly gets affected from external factors and easily gets irritated. In this skin type, veins on face are closer to the skin surface and they are distinctly visible. If your skin immediately reacts to used products, foods and temperature changes, you may have a sensitive skin.  For maintaining your skin health, you may use products specially developed for sensitive skin and you may avoid products containing excessive chemicals and perfume. You should prefer silicone-based moisturizers rather than oil-based moisturizers. You should avoid applications such as peeling and rubbing with a coarse bath-glove, since these will irritate your skin.
