Ideally, at least 1-2 weeks before the microneedling treatment, it is recommended to prepare your skin with active ingredients such as synthetic color scents and preservatives, silicones, paraffin, paraben and emulsifiers that stimulates collagen synthesis and re-epithelialization (e.g. Vitamin C and A).

During and after the treatment there is redness and slight swelling.  This is normal because these indications are the sign of the initiation of skin renewal mechanisms. After Microneedling treatment, a sunscreen with a high protection factor of SPF 30-50 should be daily used. Moreover, following acts should be avoided:

Generally it is difficult for many skin care components to penetrate into skin barrier (stratum corneum) unless they are equipped with hi-tech carriers such as liposomes or nanoparticles.  Therefore, the effect will not develop at full power or cannot start as required. After Microneedling treatment, skin components can absorb care products as well as powerful regeneration promoting care products can be used. Added substances such as aggressive protectors, odors etc. may burden skin, extend recovery period or cause inflammation after microneedling treatment. Thus, we recommend you to pay attention to high quality care without paraffin, silicones, parabens, synthetic emulsifiers, aggressive synthetic surfactants, odors, colors and protectors. For supporting treatment results care products shall include agents that promote regeneration and boost skin barrier such as D-panthenol, CM-glucan, vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin E and hyaluronic acid. The treatment is gentle and painless. For this reason, it is even suitable for patients with skin types that are sensitive to pain. AP Clinique BB Glow treatments are always adapted according to your personal skin requirements. Each application is performed with ideal hi-tech microneedling components even your skin requires moisturizing or lightening.  At first stage, detailed skin purification and disinfection are performed. Later, it is treated with an exfoliant for removing dead skin cells. Then, the combination of active components (serum) which are chosen individually based on your skin requirements, are applied to the skin by the usage of microneedling. At the following stage, 100% natural BB-Glow is applied to the skin with the aid of dermapen. If you need to attend an appointment, the skin is protected with a sunscreen. If you go home directly after the treatment, we recommend you to leave foundation on skin for 2-3 hours. Based on the treatment area, treatment period varies between 60 and 75 minutes.

No recovery period is necessary if you use a sunscreen. However, recovery period will be 2-3 hours in case sunscreen is not used.

During 24 hours after the treatment, you should not wear makeup and you should only clean your face with clean water.

• Please avoid intense sunbathing, solarium and chlorinated water for 2-7 days.
• Use sunscreen SPF 50 for at least five days.
• Do not touch the treated areas.
• Home care does not include severe peeling products or Retinoid, since the shelf life is short.
• Avoid dirty and dusty environment after the treatment.
• Thoroughly clean your hands before applying care products.

The effect can be seen immediately after first treatment. However, it is recommended to support treatment with three sessions at intervals of 10-14 days. By this way, effect lasts until six months.
